- Go to chrome://extensions/, and find out the ID of an extension (32 lowercase letters) (if not done already, activate 'Developer mode' first). Open the terminal, cd to the directory which is most likely a parent of your Chrome profile (if unsure, try then /).type d -iname 'EXTENSION.
- Chrome, for example, allows users to install extensions. If you want to stop a particular user from installing an extension or running any of the ones already installed, there's nothing in Chrome that lets you do so.

Tampermonkey has a lot of extra permissions though. If I use a master_preferences file (with values from a user's manifest.json), it warns about the permissions and disables the extension:
- Read and change all your data on the websites you visit
- Display notifications
- Modify data you copy and paste

Chrome Extensions Osx Extension
Chrome won't let me change my default search engine back to google after it shut down unexpectedly. I've tried Malwarebytes and deleted everything that came up. All the other solutions I found online was for windows, but I have a Mac. Os x mountain lion download free. I'd rather only reset my chrome settings as a last resort.
